AMORPHIS To Perform On Finnish TV Next Week

On Wednesday, March 8, AMORPHIS will appear live on Yle TV2's "Lista" show (web site) in Finland starting at 7:15 p.m. The first 50 fans to gather at the door of Yleisradio's Radiotalo (Radiokatu 5 D, Länsi-Pasila, Helsinki) will be invited inside to watch the show as studio guests. The program will re-air on Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m.

As previously reported, AMORPHIS's latest album, "Eclipse", has entered the official Finnish chart at position No. 1. The band have lined up several festival appearances following their Neckbreaker's Ball European tour (also featuring HYPOCRISY, SOILWORK, ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET and SCAR SYMMETRY), which is scheduled to take place in April. The details are as follows:

Jun. 30 - Jul. 2 - Tuska Festival in Helsinki, FIN
Jun. 30 - Jul. 2 - With Full Force in Lobnitz, GER
Aug. 4-5 - Gates Of Metal - Hultsfred, SWE

AMORPHIS' video for their new single, "House of Sleep", has been posted online at (Real Media).

The follow-up to last year's "Far from the Sun", "Eclipse" was recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki with engineer Nino Laurenne (THUNDERSTONE). The production duties were handled by the band and Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH) for vocals. The mixing was taken care of by Mikko Karmila (who previously worked with the group on their "Am Universum" CD) at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.
