CRYOGENIC Change Name, Relocate To The U.S.

Australia's CRYOGENIC have changed their name to IN THE NAME OF… and have relocated to the USA permanently. According to an official press release, "the band have found a new sound and direction" since the recruitment of vocalist RD earlier this year, and "they felt that it was time to move on and start fresh given the vibe of the new material."

IN THE NAME OF… have been in Los Angeles for five weeks preparing for their upcoming U.S. shows. While their recent demo is being shopped around to various record labels, the group will play a series of warm-up shows in and around California as they prepare for their showcase gigs scheduled for early next year. Their first show took place Thursday, December 11 at Club 7969 in Hollywood supporting the BEAUTIFUL CREATURES. Late January will see IN THE NAME OF… embark on a West Coast tour of the U.S. performing in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego and Las Vegas, followed by two very important showcase gigs in February, the first being in Hollywood and the second in New York. In March, the band will head to Austin, Texas to play the South By Southwest Music Festival (SXSW).
