IRON MAIDEN's "Different World" single has entered the U.K. chart at position No. 3. Three traditional collectable formats were made available from local record stores on Tuesday, December 26:
* Two-track CD — special souvenir price of £1.99 with previously unreleased live version of "Iron Maiden"
* Limited-edition 7" picture disc with previously unreleased live version of "Fear Of the Dark"
* Limited-edition DVD single with souvenir poster/2007 calendar. Includes the animated video directed by Howard Greenhalgh, and the previously unreleased live version of "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg", and the new studio recording of FOCUS' "Hocus Pocus". There is also a full picture library of live photos from the tour for fans to enjoy.
All singles contain different tour photos, and live songs from "A Matter of Life and Death" European tour 2006.
As previously reported, EMI also released what has to be the ultimate MAIDEN tour souvenir — the band's first-ever limited-edition digital single. This exclusive digital single — containing a live version of "Different World" recorded during the European tour — was made available for a limited period only and was deleted upon official release.
As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN's "Different World" single entered the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart in the United States at position No. 7. The Hot 100 Singles Sales (also known as Singles Sales) is a chart released weekly by Billboard magazine in the U.S. It measures sales of commercial singles and is one of three component charts, along with the Hot 100 Airplay and the Hot Digital Songs, that determine the chart positions of singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
IRON MAIDEN's new album, "A Matter of Life and Death", has sold 150,000 copies in the United States since its Sept. 5 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
