LUPARA To Support EMPEROR In Chicago

LUPARA, the Illinois-based band featuring ex-BROKEN HOPE guitarist Jeremy Wagner, has been confirmed as direct support for Norwegian black metal pioneers EMPEROR at The Metro in Chicago, IL on May 30. This is one of only three highly anticipated EMPEROR shows on U.S .shores this spring.

Commented Wagner: "I've shared the stage with with tons of influential bands, but opening for the legendary EMPEROR will be a highlight in my career. This is an unbelievable opportunity — big thanks to our management and booking agent. Everyone in the band is honored to participate in one of EMPEROR's only three U.S. shows. Plus, the concert is at one of Chicago's best venues: The's going to be a very dark and special night."

LUPARA's self-titled debut album was recently released by Crash Music and was produced and mixed by Scott Creekmore at Mercenary Digital Studios and mastered by Trevor Sadler (NINE INCH NAILS, SOIL) at Mastermind Productions. Fans can preview material from the band's debut album at this location.

SLIPKNOT guitarist Mick Thompson was recently featured in the group's first video for the track "No Pity On The Ants". The clip was directed by Frankie Nasso of Raging Nation Films (MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ALL THAT REMAINS) and should be premiering worldwide sometime in March.
