MESHUGGAH bassist Gustaf Hielm, DARKANE drummer Peter Wildoer and THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND/GOD AWAKENS PETRIFIED drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen will be contributing to the forthcoming solo album from DARKANE guitarist Christofer Malmström, tentatively due sometime in 2004. "I'm very excited to be involved in this project," Van Poederooyen said. "Christofer and I got in contact thru the band PREACHER (www.fearthepreacher.com) who I recorded drum tracks for earlier this year. PREACHER has Christofer doing a guest guitar solo on their 'soon-to-be-completed' album, he heard my drumming, checked out my website and we got in contact. The rest is history."
The as-yet-untitled album, for which Van Poederooyen is currently writing the drum parts, will feature Wildoer on vocals rather than in his traditional drummer role. "This guy has a wicked voice," said Ryan. No further information is available at this time.
