RUDRA Completes Recording New Album

Singaporean metallers RUDRA have issued the following update:

"RUDRA has finally completed the recording of the forthcoming yet-to-be titled album, which shall be the second instalment to the 'Brahmavidya' trilogy. Joshua and Sean of Black Isle Studios will be busy mixing the album in the coming weeks. Alan Douches (who has worked on NILE, MASTODON and SEPULTURA albums) will be mastering the album thereafter. The album will be likely to be released in January 2009 by Trinity Records HK.

"RUDRA will not be playing any shows till December 2008. Currently Shiva (drums), Selvam (guitar), Devan (guitars) and Kathir (bass/vocals) are taking a short break from the studios before starting work on the third installment to the 'Brahmavidya' trilogy, which will be a fusion vedic metal/rock album."

RUDRA last year inked a six-album deal with Hong Kong's Trinity Records. The group's first release for the label was a reissue of their fourth album, "Brahmavidya: Primordial I" (the first part of a triology), which originally came out in 2005.

RUDRA in 2006 severed ties with Demonzend Records (a.k.a. Demonzend Enterprise), the label that originally issued the group's last album, "Brahmavidya: Primordial I", and re-released their debut CD.
