VAN HALEN One Step Closer To ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME Nomination

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination committee met last Thursday (June 5) in New York and have narrowed the potential candidates for the 2004 induction to a list of about 30, according to Hits Daily Double. Voters get to pick three, with the 15 artists who receive the largest number of votes to be included on the final ballot. Among those who made the cut are first-timers VAN HALEN. Previous nominees that have yet to garner induction include BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER, DEEP PURPLE, KISS, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, THE NEW YORK DOLLS, and THE SEX PISTOLS.
