OPETH have once again been nominated for a Swedish Grammy the "Best Hard Rock" category for their "Ghost Reveries" release. This is the band's fourth nomination since 2001 and the group's "Blackwater Park" CD. OPETH also picked up the award for 2003's "Deliverance". Other nominees this year are CANDLEMASS ("Candlemass"), HAMMERFALL ("Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken"), HARDCORE SUPERSTAR ("Hardcore Superstar") and MESHUGGAH ("Catch Thirty Three").

The "Grammis" awards ceremony will be held on February 7, 2006 at Cirkus in Stockholm. More information (in Swedish) is available at www.grammis.se.

OPETH's new album, "Ghost Reveries", is available now on Roadrunner Records. The band utilized the services of STRAPPING YOUNG LAD drummer Gene Hoglan during the bulk of this summer's Sounds of the Underground tour after the group's regular skinsman, Martin Lopez, went back to Sweden for treatment of a rare blood disorder he's had for most of his life. The group have since enlisted Martin Axenrot (BLOODBATH, WITCHERY, NIFELHEIM) to take over Lopez' duties until he's fully recovered.
