VENOMOUS CONCEPT: Classic Debut To Receive Vinyl Release

Hypertension Records has announced plans to release the vinyl version of the classic debut album, "Retroactive Abortion", from VENOMOUS CONCEPT — the project featuring former BRUTAL TRUTH vocalist Kevin Sharp alongside MELVINS/FANTOMAS guitarist Buzz Osborne and NAPALM DEATH members Shane Embury (bass) and Danny Herrera (drums). Originally released by Ipecac, the album sees the musicians setting out to deliver a no-nonsense, '80s hardcore punk record inspired by POISON IDEA, GAUZE and DISCHARGE. This one-time deluxe pressing, with a posterbag, extra liner notes by Embury and Osborne, and two bonus tracks, will be limited to 333 copies and will be only available through the label's web site. Expect a late June release.
